||Beat egg whites until foamy.
||Add sugar gradually, beating until stiff peaks form.
||Toss together the crackers, the baking powder and chopped nuts.
||Fold into the beaten egg whites with the vanilla.
||Spread in a buttered 9 inch pie pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until dry. Leave in oven with door open until cool. Refrigerate at least two hours before serving.
||Spread with the whipped cream just before serving.
