Creamed Celery and Cabbage

A favorite side dish from the Clark's Yuba Avenue days...
2 cups    Celery, chopped  
2 cups    Cabbage, chopped  
4 Tbs    Butter  
4 Tbs    Flour  
2 cups    Milk  
1 cup    Swiss cheese, shredded  
  Salt and pepper to taste  
1 Pre-cook celery in the microwave, drain well.
2 Pre-cook cabbage in the microwave; drain well.
3 Make white sauce by melting butter; stir in flour - cook for about a minute.
4 Slowly stir in milk; cook until thickened.
5 Mix all together with the cheese.
6 Bake at 350° until bubbly.
