Lemon Bars

 
 
 
For crust:  
1/2 cup    Butter  
1 cup    Flour  
1/4 cup    Powdered sugar  
For filling:  
1 cup    Sugar  
2   Eggs, beaten  
2 Tbs    Flour  
1/2 tsp    Baking Powder  
2 Tbs    Lemon juice  
For frosting:  
3/4 cup    Powdered sugar  
1 tbs    Butter, melted  
1 Tbs    Lemon juice  
 
For crust:
1 Mix together 1/2 cup butter, flour and 1/4 cup powdered sugar. Pat crust in a 9" square pan.
2 Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350°. The edges should be slightly browned,
For filling:
1 While crust is baking, beat the granulated sugar and eggs together.
2 Add the 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder and lemon juice to this mixture and pour over the baked crust. Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.
For frosting:
1 When bars are completely cool, frost with the mixture of 3/4 cup powdered sugar, melted butter and lemon juice.
2 Cut into bars when frosting is set.
