Peach Kuchen

 
 
 
2 cups    Flour  
¼ tsp    Baking powder  
½ tsp    Salt  
½ tsp    Cinnamon  
1 cup    Sugar  
½ cup    Butter  
12 halves    Peaches (or 2 large cans, drained)  
1   Egg, beaten  
½ pint    Heavy whipping cream  
 
1 Preheat oven to 375°.
2 Sift and mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar with softened butter and pat 1/3 of mixture firmly into lightly greased 9" square pan.
3 Arrange peaches on top. Cover with remaining mixture and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
4 Pour over the top the beaten egg mixed with the cream. Bake for 30 minutes more.
