Red Cabbage

This is a dish served by "Grandma" Isabelle at many of her buffets, luncheons, etc. The result is delicious!
3 jars (1 lb ea)    Sweet and sour red cabbage  
6 Tbs    Sugar  
2 Tbs    Red currant jelly  
1½ cups    Dry red wine  
Place all ingredients into saucepan. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is mushy (approximately 1-1/4 hours to reach this consistency).
