Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

12 large    Cabbage Leaves  
1¼ lb    Ground Beef  
2 tsp    Salt  
½ tsp    Pepper  
1 cup    Cooked Rice  
1 small    Onion, chopped  
1   Egg  
½ tsp    Poultry Seasoning  
2 Tbs    Oil  
2 cans (8 oz ea.)    Tomato Sauce  
1 Tbs    Brown Sugar  
1 Tbs    Lemon Juice  
1 Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes or until limp. Drain.
2 Combine next 7 ingredients.
3 Place equal portions of meat mixture in center of each leaf. Fold sides of each leaf over meat; roll up and fasten with toothpicks or string.
4 Brown rolls on all sides in oil.
5 Pour tomato sauce in a bowl.
6 Combine sugar, ¼ cup water and lemon juice. Stir into tomato sauce. Pour over rolls.
7 Simmer, covered, one hour; basting occasionally.

These freeze well after cooking.
